Show Diamond Crew fltCSU Winds Up Year The College of Southern Utah baseball team will wind up the 19C7 season this week end with a series of four games, all to be played at home. Friday afternoon the T-Birds will meet Brigham Young University in a double-header series that was postponed from two weeks ago because of weather. Saturday the T-Birds will take on Westminster College of Salt Lake City in another double-header. Game time both days will be 1 p. m., according to Coach Cleo Petty. The T-Birds will take a five win, 14 loss, two tied record Into the week end series. Leading hitter for the T-Birds is Bill Lamb, first sacker, wth a .310 mark, fol- lowed by Steve Judd with a .298. Bruce Shaheen is rapping rap-ping the ball at a .280 mark and Bill Farr goes in at a .218 clip. Over all the CSU team is hitting .215. Sure to see mound duty in the series will be Larry Eyre and Hank Drogemuller, who both threw shutout victories this past week in a series against Rangely College of Colorado. Eyre has the lowest earned run average on the squad with a 2.26. His won loss record stands at 3 and 3. Reid Kimoto Is next in line with a 3.98 earned run average and he has a single decision to his credit, that a victory. Drogemuller Droge-muller has been credited with the only other victory of the season for the T-Birds, but he has also suffered six losses and his earned run average stands at 5.26. Mike Erling, who has been used in relief principally this year, Is also expected to see action in the final series. Erling Er-ling has suffered two losses and has an ERA of 4.40. |
