Show i Public Service Coordinator Joins Staff Robert Galbraith Ford will loin the College of Southern Utah staff as Coordinator of Public Service in the School of Continuing Education, it was announced by Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite, CSU president. He plans to begin his new assignment assign-ment September 1. Mr. Ford has been affiliated with University of Utah as a research analyst in the Bureau of Community Development since 1963. He has also served as a designer in the architectural architec-tural firm of Brixen and Christopher, Chris-topher, and was employed by the United States Air Force as a designer-draftsman. A native of Salt Lake City, he received a five-year degree in architecture from the U of U, graduating with honors. He is a member of Alpha Rho Chi, ROBERT GAILBRAITH FORD i national honor society and re-received re-received the organization's honor medal. Ho is also a member of Sigma Nu fratern- j ity. I ! Mr. Ford wrote an article entitled en-titled "Where Not to Build: A Guide for Open Space Planning," Plan-ning," for the Bureau of Land Management, and has written "An Urban Renewal Study: The University District of Salt Lake City, Utah" for the U of U Department of Architecture. It will be Mr. Ford's responsibility respon-sibility to supervise and plan workshops, conferences, institutes, insti-tutes, short courses, and other special programs at CSU. He will also serve as a planner and consultant to groups and communities in helping solve immediate and long-range problems. He will work as a member of a team of community commun-ity planners from the U of U and other institutions of higher high-er learning. |
