Mrs. Georgia Moyle A meeting of the Escalante Valley Building Committee, a branch of the coordinating council, coun-cil, was held at the community building Thursday, March 24, with president Alene Smith presiding. pre-siding. The annual Escalante Valley Talent Show will be held Thursday, Thurs-day, March 31, at the community building at 8:00 o'clock. The show is sponsored by the PTA with Betty Bracken as chairman. Everyone is invited to attend. The March meeting of the Women's Wo-men's club was held at the home of president Mary Moyle with Francis Piper as co-hostess. An evening on "color on you" was given with Washington County Home Demonstrator Marjorie Means in charge. This was the second evening spent with coior. Mrs. Florence McGary and Mrs. Kath'y Schultz were guests for the evening of Mrs. Miriam McGary. Refreshments were served by the hostess. LIONS LADIES NIGHT The Escalante Valley Lions and Ladies spent an enjoyable even ' HERE AND THERE I The Garden Valley Inn in the i Modena area is now open under I the direction of Mrs. Deloris Fair-clough Fair-clough and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Eileen Fairclough. The Fair-cloughs Fair-cloughs have been at Las Vegas the past week because of the death of Jerry Fairclough. Rafael Fox of Lakewood, Calif., was in the valley over the week end to make arrangements for electric power and water on his property at Garden Valley. A mo-hilA mo-hilA hnmp i now located there. Mrs. Dorothy Gardner and son of the Salt Lake vicinity were in the valley over the week end on business and visiting with friends. The Gardners were at the Miriam McGary home for Sunday dinner before returning to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz of California are new attendants at the Saylin farm. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kehl and son Sidney of Yuma, Ariz., are new residents in the valley. The Kehls are on the Ralph Gardner ranch. Their oldest son remained in Arizona to finish this year's school. Ken Fehr has his first unit for his motel started at the Garden Valley vicinity. This will be a great asset to the Escalante Valley as a whole. Mr. and Mrs Jack Moyle, Sr., attended a convention at Las Vegas in connection with the J-I. J-I. Case Company. Principal and Mrrs. Kay Campbell Camp-bell recently returned from a trip to Portland, Oregon. Mr. Campbell Camp-bell attended the National Convention Con-vention for Elementary Principals. Princi-pals. He reports that the convention conven-tion was very informative and stimulating. |
