PARRY Caroline Parry, Cedar Native Dies, Services Conducted Funeral services for Caroline Arthur Parry, 85, were held Saturday, Sa-turday, March 26, at the Cedar First Ward Chapel. Mrs. Parry died at the Valley View Medical Center Thursday afternoon, March 24 of causes incident in-cident to age. She was a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers Pion-eers and of the LDS Church. A Native of Cedar City, she was born Nov. 8, 1880 in Cedar City to Christopher Jones and Jane Con- die Arthur. She married James C. Parry Nov. 9, 1904 in the St. George LDS Temple. He died April 13, 1960. Speakers at the services included includ-ed Harry H. Lunt and Henry P. Dotson, with remarks by Ricnard Messer, member of the bishopric conducting the services. Special musical numbers included in-cluded an organ medley by Reed Berrett; a vocal duet by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wood, "O My Father," Fath-er," and a quartet, composed of Lois McConnell, Mamie Eck, Wil-1 liam Condie and Herchel Neeley, singing "Sometime We'll Understand." Under-stand." Survivors include sons and daughters, Edward A., C. J., Chester, Ches-ter, Mrs. John (Betty) McKnight, all of Cedar City; Mrs. Spencer (Mildred) Dean, Toquerville; Mrs. George Blaine (Lillian) Dobson, Farmington; Mrs. Don (Jeanne) Walden, Redwood City, Calif.; Mrs. Lawrence C. (Evelyn) Jones, Clearfield. Also surviving are 40 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Cedar City Cemetery, under the direction of the Winterrose Southern Utah Mortuary. |
