Show BPW Clubs Meet For Successful Spring Conference A most successful spring Business Bus-iness and Professional Women's conference was held at the Airport Air-port Cafe in Cedar City Sunday, April 12. Mrs. Elda Smith, district director direc-tor of the southern district conducted con-ducted the meeting, assisted by Vee Murdock, secretary, and Freda Fre-da Withrow, vice chairman. State officers attending were Iyla Cardall, Salt Lake City, president; Anna Stark, Beaver first vice president and Anna Erlckson, Brigham, second vice president. Mrs. Withrow of Cedar City City was also In attendance. She is the state finance chairman. chair-man. Mrs. Cardall complimented the clubs in the southern division for their work, especially in membership. She reported a big Increase in the Utah clubs. Mrs. Erickson talked on the complete program coordination by the club chairmen and Mrs. Stark addressed the gathering on the subject of "The Future Is Our Business Today." Mrs. Lester Little, former president pres-ident of the Kanab Club, who attended the international convention con-vention in Manheim, Germany, I gave a detailed account of her travels and the conference held there In 1958. Bert Carpenter, accompanied by Beth Leigh, presented several musical numbers. Representative from clubs in Cedar City, St. George, Kanab, Milford and Beaver were in at- i tendance. I |
