Show High School Students Gather This Saturday For Annual CSU Vocational Day Activities A full day of activity has been slated for the 2Cth annual Vocational Vo-cational Day at College of Southern South-ern Utah Saturday, April 18. Prof. Ben Cooley, chairman of the division of industrial education educa-tion at CSU, is in charge of the planning. j A new activity will be intro duced this year, according to Prof. Cooley, with an art exhibit exhi-bit of work done by high school students throughout the area. Prof. Max Weaver will direct the exhibit and special recognition will be given for outstanding work. As in the past years students from southern Utah, Nevada and Arizona will gather on the campus cam-pus to compete for honors In home economics, agriculture business administration and Industrial In-dustrial arts. CSU faculty members and high school advisors will Judge the competition in the areas Saturday Satur-day morning. Several scholarships scholar-ships and a number of other awards will be given to winners, said Prof. Cooley. Luncheon will be served to the expected 600 students at noon In the Student Cafeteria and the group will be entertained with a student program at 1 p. m. in the CSU auditorium.. At 2 p. m. the students will visit the State Science Fair exhibits being 'held the same week end at the j college. |
