Show Principal Assignments Made in Iron School. System at Board Meeting New assignments in the administrative ad-ministrative organization of the Iron County School system was announced this week following a meeting of the board Monday. Only one princlpalship in the elementary school system will remtaln the same for the 1959-60 school year, Ianthus Wright, superintendent, sup-erintendent, stated. Oscar Hulet will remain as principal of the North Elementary. Elemen-tary. A new administrative post was created and filled. According to Mr. Wright, Keith Mldgley, who has served as principal of Ka-narra Ka-narra Elementary this year, has been named a student and teach er guidance counselor. The board announced that it also intends, in-tends, in the near future, to appoint ap-point another counselor in this new field. A shuffle in the prlnclpalships in other elementary schools and two new appointments made up the remainder of the administrative administra-tive appointments for the coming com-ing year. L. C Miles will continue as principal of the Cedar City Junior High, P. M. Bothers principal of the Cedar High School and Max Dalley as principal of the Parowan Par-owan High School will remain the same. Clair Morris, current principal of the Parowan Elementary will be shifted to Cedar City to assume as-sume the princlpalship of the new South Elementary. Rulan Woodbury, principal of the West Elementary will take over the same post at the East Elementary, Elemen-tary, replacing Thomas Abplan-alp, Abplan-alp, who's appointment to the coordinating staff was announced recently. Robert Stratton, who has been instructing in the East Elemen tary will take over the Kanar-ravllle Kanar-ravllle Elementary to replace Mr. Mldgley. Don Applegate, who has been serving as principal of the Es-calante Es-calante Valley School will take over the post to be vacated by Mr. Morris in Parowan and George Jolley, who has bevn In structing at the Fscalante Valley Val-ley will be the J 959 GO principal at that school. |
