Show Legion and Auxiliary Purchase Property For Meeting Purposes A business deal was consumat-ed consumat-ed during the week between Parowan Par-owan Post No. 20, American Legion Le-gion and the Legion Auxiliary, and Victor M. Norman, whereby the local veterans groups has purchased the old Times Office building from Mr. Norman. The deal was made the first of the week when Mr. Norman, who Is now a resident of Provo, made the trip here for that purpose. The building housed the Parowan Paro-wan Times from the early 1940s until a few years ago when Mr. Norman sold the paper back to Robert B. Mitchell, and moved from Parowan. When owned by the Normans, it housed the news paper plant and family living quarters In the rear. The Legion and Auxiliary will remodel that portion formerly used for the pa-par pa-par plant as a club and meeting room and continue to rent the apartment, which is now occupied occu-pied by Ted Burton, we are Informed. In-formed. The veterans group and its auxiliary paid $2500 for the building and real estate on which it stands, we are told. The above announcement was made Wednesday following the regular monthly meeting of the Auxiliary, where its members-ship members-ship approved of the purchase.)
