An Air Force pilot who successfully bails out of a crippled aircraft us'jRlly has his own way of saying thanks to the airman who packed his parachute, and Lt. Ralph D. Adams, left of Cedar City, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Adams, who had to use his, is no exception. The 317th Fighter Interceptor Squadron pilot had to "hit the silk" last February when his F-102 "Blew up" over Galena. Here he briefs parachute rigger, A2c Robert J. Loep-ker, Loep-ker, on the emergency procedures of the two-seated 2F-102 2F-102 prior to taking him up on a much-sought-after 35-minute 35-minute flight. The ride and knowing that a man had lived as a result re-sult of his work, was all the thanks that Airman Loepker wanted. |
