Show NATI0NAL GUARD PLANS JUNE CAMP The annual summer encampment encamp-ment of the Utah National Guard will onen at CamD W. G. Wil liams on Sunday, June 4, and some 24 officers and 256 enlisted enlist-ed men of the 2d Howitzer Battalion (155mm) 222d Artillery, Utah National Guard, will participate. par-ticipate. The southern Utah guard units have batteries in Cedar City, Beaver, St. George, Richfield and Fillmore. Battalion Headquarters and Headquarters Battery are located lo-cated in Cedar City, firing batteries bat-teries are located in St. George, Fillmore and Service Battery and the Personnel section are stationer station-er at Beaver. Battalion commander is Lt. Col. Max Dalley of Parowan, and the Cedar City Battery is under the command of Capt Rulon D. Woodbury. Headquarters and Headquarters Headquar-ters Battery of Cedar City will send a total of 79 officers and men to the encampment Cedar City unit will begin the convoy to Camp Williams at 5:22 a.m. Sunday, June 4 and the estimated time of arrival has been Bet for 1 p. m. Battery from St. George will leave Friday afternoon and stay overnight at the armory in Fillmore Fill-more then make the remaining trip Saturday morning. All units of the battalion, according to Lt Col. Dalley, will rendezvous at the Geneva road and enter Camp Williams in a full battalion. The first four days of the encampment en-campment Monday through Friday, Fri-day, the Battalion will be on bivouac conducting battalion firing fir-ing problems. They will return to Camp Williams Friday afternoon after-noon and participate in the Gov ernor's Day activities on Saturday, Satur-day, June 10. Second Week of the encamnment will be confined to field excercises with battery tests on Wednesday, June 14. The Battalion will embark for the respective communities on Saturday with the Cedar City unit expected to arrive at approximately approx-imately 6 to 7 p. m. Sunday the units will complete the training period at the local armories cleaning up and storing equipment with the payday for the active duty to finalize the event. Gen. Maxwell E.
