Installation Banquet Slated by Cedar City Jaycees Installation of newly elected officers of-ficers and board members of the Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce will be staged Thursday, Thurs-day, June 1 a Sullivan's Cafe, according to outgoing president, Bud Bowman. Mr. Bowman will relinquish his office as president to Ken Knight, who has been named to succeed Mr. Bowman. Other officers will be installed, a report of the past year's activities ac-tivities will be presented and a series of special awards will be announced at the meeting, Bowman Bow-man stated. A total of 14 Jaycees will receive re-ceive special awards for 100 attendance during the past year. They include Bowman, R. L. Gardner, Herman Anderson, Alan Harter, Gayle Adams, Abe Hay- I cock, Ken Knight, Roger Parry, Boyd Rcddington, Jay Shakos-1 pcare, Mike Wattors, Richard i Cripps, Lamond Beatty and Blaine Barney. Lamond Boatty will also be recognized as the outstanding Jaycee for the month of May and a similar award will he presented present-ed to Blaine Barney for tile month of April. The John Quinn award to the outstanding Jaycee of the year, other than a board member, will I be announced at the meeting and I the Burns Sherratt Memorial award for the outstanding pro-lect pro-lect chairman of the year will also be named. Bowman also announced that Mike Watters has been named as a state director and Kay Wilkes has been named to fill a one year term on the board of directors. direct-ors.
