Show Coach Wood's Rams Move Closer To B" Tournament TEAM STANDINGS Parowan 4 1 .800 Milford 3 1 .750 Delta 2 3 .400 Millard 2 3 .400 Beaver 1 4 .200 With two teams entering the sta'e Class B tournament in Pro-vo Pro-vo this year from the Millard Division of Region 10 Coach John Wood's Parowan Rams can win a berth In the big meet by winning win-ning from Millard on Satuiday night, providing Milford wins from Delta that same night. AnJ J if Milford wins it can't do less even if it loses its last three games. As a result of the two game schedule with Milford getting a bye In the opening round of the second half of league play which got under way Wednesday night, Coach John Wood's Parowan Rams are still In front of the league with a one-half game margin over the Milford Tigers. Delta won and lost and Millaid won one game to end up tied tor third place and Beaver dropper! in'o the cellar. In the second round games of the second half set for this Saturday Sat-urday Millard comes to Paro. wan and Delta comes to Milford, and Beaver ge's a bye. The Rams who won from Millard at Fillmore Fill-more early In the season should take their game but will hav to watch as their old coach Dick Jones will be out to upset them if possible, and he has generated a high scoring outfit at Fillmore when it gets going. Milford shouldn't have too much trouble with Delta on the Milford floor and should win to stay about even with the P.uo- the Rams will have a s'anding of 5 wins and one loss, Milford four wins and one loss, and Delta and Millard will have lost four each. This would put Parow.tn Into the tournament with Milford only needing one more win to clinch a spot In the big meet. |
