Show Redmen Beat Tigers, Await Game With Division Leaders DIVISION STANDINGS Dixie 5 0 1.000 Cedar 4 1 .SOO Hurricane 2 3 .400 Kanab 1 4 .200 Enterprise 0 5 .000 Cedar High School Redmen remained re-mained in contention for the Dixie Dix-ie Division crown Saturday evening eve-ning with a 50 'o 41 victory over the Hurricane Tigers in a game played at Hurricane. Friday night the Redmen remain re-main idle in division play while, the other four teams battle 1' out. It gives the Redmen a breather until their make or break game with the Dixie Flyers Wednesday, Feb. 12 at St. George. On Fer. 7 Dixie moves to Enterprise En-terprise for what should be an easy victory and Hurricane noes to Kanab in the top contest of the week. Hurricane squeaked past Kanab by a single point on their heme floor and the cowboys of Boyd "Goonie" Adams will be waiting for this chance to get even. Kanab should take this game, and if they do the Flyers and Redmen will be cinches for first and second place and as entries into the State Class B tournament. As, a result the battle between Dixie and Cedar next Wednesday evening at S George will" undoubtedly un-doubtedly determine definitely first and second place. Dixie ran roughshod over the Redmen In the first meeting of the two clubs and will be favorites fav-orites to repeat Wednesday. However, as It has been been said in the past, past records mean no'hing when these two clubs meet and anything can happen. A victory for Dixie would give them their second successive division crown and put the Redmen in second place to stay, the same position they held at the conclusion of the season in 1957. |
