Show Cedar Native Named Chief of Irrigation Division William I. Palmer, native of Cedar City, this week was named nam-ed as Chief, Division of Irrigation, Irriga-tion, by Secretary Seaton of the United States Interior Depar-men. Depar-men. Palmer, a son of William R. Palmer of Cedar City, and a graduate in Agricultural Engineering Engi-neering at Utah State University, succeds Floyd E. Dominy. He has been acting in this capacity since January, 1956, although receiving the official appointment appoint-ment only this week. Dominy was recently named as assistant assist-ant to Comissioner Wilber A. Dexheimer. Palmer began working with the Buereau of Reclamation in November, 19-11, and has serve ! the Bureau in Salt Lake City and Sacramento, Calif. He also work-ed work-ed with the Department of Agriculture Agri-culture In most .of the western states. |
