May 18, In the Junior Chamber of Commerce annual Miss Cedar City contest. The event will be staged at 8 p. m. and admission charges have been set at $1.00 for adults and 50 cents for students. The six Misses of the community will be paraded down Main St. at 11 a. m. Saturday In a quick preview of the evening performance. perform-ance. The six contestants and their sponsors are: Diane Cooley, Lions Club; Shirley Mclntyre, Rotary Club; Shir lee Graff, Cowley Drug; Martha Fakler, KSUB; Beverly Barlocker, Cedar School and Office Supply, and Sharon Corry, BPOE Lodge. The contest will afford local residents an outstanding evening of entertainment. The six candidates candi-dates for the coveted title will appear In formal attire, bathing suit and will render a five-minute talent presentation. Audience will also participate in a portion of the judging in a popular poll. However, five judges will make the final decision de-cision as to the winner and two attendants. Valuable prizes are in store for the winners' and "Miss Cedar City" will receive $100 for expenses ex-penses to the Miss Utah contest in which she will be entered. Master of ceremonies for the contest will be Walt Lowe, It was announced by the chairman, Herman Anderson. |
