Show Quarterly Conference Plans Laid By Stake Officials The firsf quarterly conference of the Parowan Stake following the summer lay-off. will convene con-vene here on Saturday and Sunday, Sun-day, Aug. 25 and 26, according to an announcement made by Howard How-ard D. Knight, stake president, the first of the week. At the same time President Knight announced that Elder Marion D. Hanks of the First Council of Seventy will be the visiting authority from headquarters head-quarters to attend the local conference con-ference sessions. As this is to be a welfare conference, a member of the Church Welfare Committee will also b ein attendance. The conference sessions will begin with a welfare meeting at 6:30 p. m. Saturday 1n the Parowan First-Second Ward cha-pel. cha-pel. which will be followed at 8 p. m. by a Priesthood Leadership meeting at the same place. All stake and ward welfare committee com-mittee members are expected to be in attendance. Those who are expected to attend the priesthood priest-hood session are the stake presidency presi-dency and clerk, high council members, stake patriarch, the Melchizedek Priesthood committee commit-tee and all ward bishoprics. Sunday meetings will be he'd in the Third Ward chapel with the morning session starting at 10 o'clock and the afternoon session ses-sion at 2. The Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Association session of the conference will be held at 7:30 p. m. in the same place. Music for the morn"i: vneral session will be furnished by a Primary children's chorus from all wards of the stake, with Ber-ta Ber-ta Rowley conducting and June M. Decker as accompanist.
