Show Cedar City Provides Entertainment for Visiting Kiwanians. Not only is Cedar City becdm. ing famous as a convention city but those who have graciously consented to entertain, to cater and perform are becoming widely wide-ly knowns as well. Such is the case with the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho District Convention of Kl-wanls Kl-wanls to be staged in Cedar City Sept. 1 through 3. Not only are the many facilities of Hotel El Escalante, the College of Southern South-ern Utah, motels, hotels and the cafes and restaurants being used, but the outstanding entertainment entertain-ment furnished from within our midst is being used to the utmost by those in charge. For instance, musical enter-tainment enter-tainment far the opening day's session, Saturday, Sept. 1, includes in-cludes the "Four Peanuts," a young ladies group that has become be-come popular throughout the state. Also entertaining in that session will be Danny Yergensen, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Yergensen, who can set your heart on fire with his rendition ren-dition of "Mammy" and others. Also featured In the evening session on the opening day will be another facility of the Utah Parks Company. Entertainment for that meeting will be furnished furnish-ed from the outstanding talent available from students and employees em-ployees of the three major parks, uancing that evening wiii In; by "Eugene Helland and his Five Cats." Th 'Tradesmen" of international interna-tional fame will sing at the Sunday Sun-day morning session, Sept. 2 and the ever popular male chorus, "Master Singers" will perform for the Kiwanis delegates of two states in an evening concert. This extraordinary talent on a local level is just one' more of the many reasons why Cedar City is more and more becoming a "tnn rate" convention city. |
