Show College Is Recipient Of Yearbooks Covering Early Years The College of Southern Utah library collection of volumes related re-lated to the early history of the school was enriched by a special gift this week. Dr. Royden C Braithwa'.ie. director, received four copies of the "Agrlcula", yearbook of the old Branch Agriculture Agri-culture College 1916-17-18. Doner of the books was Mr. Herman Bayles, Parowan. The 1917 Agrlcula as edited by Margaret Carrol ?:::! dedicated dedicat-ed to faculty member Parley Dal-ley. Dal-ley. Professor Dalley is still teaching at CSU as a professor emeritus in mathematics. I The yearbook recalled that Mr. Roy F. Homer was principal at the time, heading a faculty of 11 and a studentbody of nearly 200 students. I In receiving the yearbooks Director Dir-ector Braithwaite expressed appreciation ap-preciation to Mr. Bayles and indicated in-dicated that the college is attempting at-tempting to add such volumes, photographs and any other mat- erlals to a special collection at the college under the direction of the college historian Thomas Challis. i |
