Show Annual Seminary Swing Enjoyed by Students I The Cedar City Seminary held their annual Seminary Swing at the Cedar Stake House on December Decem-ber 3, 1960. General chairman for the dance was Jackie Heap. The public as well as students of the seminary were invited to attend the dance. The theme of "Some Enchant-1 ed Evening" was carried out in decorations of white and orchid. Highlighting the decorations was a bubbling waterfall. The lighting light-ing effect was constantly changed chang-ed by the effect of colored lights being played on the lowered ceiling ceil-ing and draped walls. The big event of the evening was the crowning of the king and queen and their assistants and attendants. Each clas chose a candidate and the entire seminary sem-inary studentbody voted to pick the final pair. Chosen to reign as second attendant was Pat Truman. Second assistant was Don A. Matheson. First attendant atten-dant was Ton! Lambert, and chosen cho-sen to reign with her was Glen Crawford. Picqed by the student-body student-body to fill the number one positions pos-itions were Lois Llnford and Jerry Jer-ry Marsden. Mr. Marsden, who has been very active in both school and seminary affairs, Is past seminary president and Is now serving as studentbody president pres-ident of Cedar High. In addition to the choosing of royalty, other numbers on the floorshow were presented by Pamela Pam-ela Wood and Sally Jackson. Miss Wood played the piano and accompanied Miss Jackson as she sang the theme song. The refreshments, under the direction of Pamela' Wood, were uniquely served on a decorated stage with a background of south sea enchantment depicted on a colorful mural. Heads of other committees who helped make the dance a success were Sharon Adams, in charge of advertising, Sally Jackson, in charge of the floorshow. Representing Repre-senting the student council was Carol Miles. Music for the festive occasion was furnished by the Rythm Makers. |
