Show Final Practice Games Planned by Broncos I College of Southern Utah Bron-a Bron-a will play their final two home basketball games before the opening of the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Collegiate Athletic Conference, Confer-ence, this week, according to Coach Cleo Petty. Thursday evening, Dec. 22, the Broncos will host a service team from Nellls Air Force Base, Nev. and on Tuesday, Dec. 27 the College Col-lege of Southern Utah fieldhouse will be the scene of action as the Broncos go against Antelope Valley Val-ley of Lancaster, Calif. Not much Is known about the Trellis AFB crew, but as in the past a number of former college stars are probably listed on the roster. Game time for this contest con-test Thursday evening has been set for 8 p. m. On Thursday, Dec. 27, the Bron cos tangle with Antelope Valley with tip-off time set for the same hour. Antelope Valley each year produces a fine basketball team and a look at the team roster indicates in-dicates that the visitors from southern California are one of the shorter teams that the Broncos have met this season. j I A short club, the lack of height, was expected to be a drawback for the Broncos this year, but Coach Petty indicated that the squad proved itself as i being tough on the boards, even against taller teams which was the case In four contests in southern south-ern Californa this past week. Paired off, the Antelope Valley and Bronco squads should be almost al-most alike from the height standpoint, stand-point, so an aggressive fast moving mov-ing ball game is expected. |
