Show County Basketball Teams Plan Holiday Meet Annual battle y.1 the Iron County basketball teams will be going for real this week end I when Cedar High and Parowan High School meet In home and jhome games with Christmas Day separating the two games to five the clubs a rest " Friday evening, Dec. 23 the Redmen will travel to Parowan to meet the Parowan Rams with game-time set for 8 p. i. At the same time Monday, Dec 26 the two club will irtove to the college col-lege of Southern UUh fieldhouse In Cedar City for the second meeting. , Following the tangle, between the Iron County Schools, the Red-men Red-men have two other home games on their slate over the holidays. On Wednesday, Dec. 28 the Red-men Red-men will meet the Millard Ea-giles Ea-giles In Cedar City and the preseason pre-season slate will be completed in Fridav. Dec. 30 whAn te Red men will host the B Y High of Provo. Bruce Decker Is coach of the Redmen and John Wood direct3 affairs for the Rams of Parowan. I The clash between these two 'clubs Is always a highlight of the pre-season schedule of the prep ranks In southern Utah. Going into the contest the Red-men Red-men hold the slight edge In .other .oth-er contests and have shown a stronger scoring punch, thus far. However, the Rams, although unable un-able to score extremely high, apparently developed into a good defensive club with two fine defensive de-fensive games this past week Friday's game will find the Redmen try ing to improve their three win and two loss record. They have been uefcit"d by Moab and by Milford and have won from South Sevier, Juab and I Panguitch. John Wood's Rams have a one win and four lost record. The Rams have defeated Piute and went under to Juab, Moab, Basic and Gorman Hierh schools. |
