Show High School Students Participate In Journalism Course j PROVO. Aug. 8 Ruth Ann Dalton, Darlene Hyatt and Dean-na Dean-na Evans of the Parowan High School arrived here today and bisan working In the Brigham Young University's Hlgh School Press Workshop. The students will live on the BYU campus for a week and will spend their time learning to develop de-velop skills to publish better high school publications next year. They 'are part of 110 students stu-dents from five states who are represented In the fourth annual workshop enrollment More than 23 teachers will handle various classes and work sessions during the week. Deanna Evans will be magazine maga-zine editor of the "Rambllngs"; Ruth Ann Dalton will be editor of "Pararama", high school yearbook, year-book, and Darlene Hyatt will be editor of the "Paro-Peek" school newspaper during the 1960-61 school year. The workshop is divided into four sections: yearbooks, advertising, adver-tising, printed newspapers and mimeographed newspapers. During Dur-ing the week, the students will help to edit and publish a daily mimeographed paper and a printed print-ed paper and yearbook section on the final day of the workshop; week. |
