Show County School Board Lets Contracts, Supports TV Service At the meeting of the Iron County School Board Monday, bids were opened and contracts let for supplying milk for the school lunch program in the district, dis-trict, and coal for the schools during the coming winter. Sargent Supreme Dairy was the only bidder on supplying rnilk for the school lunch and was awarded the contract at 5 cents per M pint Contracts for supplying coal were the same as last year at practically the same price. Under these contracts coal for the Cedar Ce-dar Junior and Cedar High Schools and the Kanarravivlle school will be furnished by Webster Web-ster Coal Co. Coal Kreek Coal Co. will supply Cedar North Elementary Ele-mentary and the Parowan schools and Tucker Coal Co. Cedar East and South Elementaries4 and the Paragonah schools. Northern coal will be purchased purchas-ed for the Escalante Valley School. The board also authorized calling call-ing for bids for Installation of curb and guter at the East Elementary Ele-mentary School, and the installation installa-tion of new steel doors on the school auditorium. Authorization was also given for the expenditure of up to $1500 to bring television Into Kanarra-ville. Kanarra-ville. This is a move toward providing pro-viding educational TV foe the school, made possible through recent legislation legalizing booster boos-ter television service. The school will also cooperate with the county and other school districts of southern Utah to bring the signal of the educational education-al channel, known as chtnnel 7, in the schools of the area.
