Show Educator Participates in N. E. A. Sessions Norman Romberger of the Iron County Teachers Association is one of two Utah educators and one of 1 10 invited participants in an educational program provided provid-ed by the National Education Association at its headquarters i - . r c Norma F. Hyatt, representing the Utah Education Association, is the other representative from Utah. The two Utahns are Oil a busman's bus-man's holiday, attending school at the NEA headquarters. Theyi are studying all facets of teacher salary scheduling trends, new research negotiations with school boards, factors causing low salaries, sal-aries, and others. They were told this week by Sam M. Lambert, director, research re-search division "f th? NFA that 15-20 percent of the talented boys and girls might complete their schooling in 10 instead of 12 years, and at a considerable saving to the American taxpayer. During the four-day meeting NEA Executive Secretary William Wil-liam (J. Carr and U. S. Commissioner Commis-sioner of Education Sterling M. McMurrin will address the group. The school is conducted by the NEA Office of Professional Development De-velopment and Welfare. |
