Thursday evening 11a Barton was hostess to the En Amities Club. A fashion show of old and modern hats was featured and prizes were given for the oldest and funniest. Musical numbers were given by Mrs. Barton's daughter, Beatrice Davis, and her niece, Doris Williams. Dennis Huntsman who Is attending at-tending the U S A C and Kent Brown who Is attending the BYU, were home over the week end. Mr. and M.-s. Allan Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Ftehner spent the week end in Las Vegas. Ve-gas. We noted that Mr. Kennedy still had his shirt on his back when he returned. The Lohoaobey Club tried a new twist on entertainment this past week. Their evening beean with a light luncheon served by Mrs. Therol McArthur after whir table gamps were rdayed. At 10 o'clock Mrs. McArthur awarded prizes and then Mrs. Grant Taylor Tay-lor took over as hostess. Mor table games were played and she awarded prizes and served a midnight dessert. Pri7es were won by Mrs. Elmer Cox. Mr. John Crabtree, Mrs. Gr"t Tuck-er Tuck-er and Mrs. Ervin Ulver. A mighty full evening of entertainment. entertain-ment. Mrs. Virgil Bird's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kearns of Gunnl-son, Gunnl-son, spent a few days visiting here this past week. Mr. and Mrs.' George Croft have been spending some vacation vaca-tion time in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Gale Adams went to Fountain Green over the week end to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen. A Sukiyakl party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Clark and Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stephenson In honor of Yoshio Hosobuchl. Mr Hosobuchl Is attending the College of Southern Utah on a scholarship. Kent Hulet, who has spent several years In Japan, was there to help pfepare the food. We understand the group ate Its meal with chop sticks, but couldn't could-n't carry out the Sukiyakl all the way because the proper size table ta-ble was not available to enable them to sit on the floor. A recent resident of Cedar, Shirley Mason, was here over the week end visiting with friends. Eva Webster was hostess to the HH Club at the Escalante Hotel Ho-tel last Thursday. Bernlce Merry, weather was In charge of the program. Mary Anker gave a puppet demonstration and help, ed each of the members make a puppet. j I Mr. and Mrs. Carl Croft were hostesses to their dinner club Saturday night. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hey. borne, Mr. and Mrs. Art HIgbee, Mr. and Mrs York Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Woolf, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Morris, and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Clove. After dinner the group played bridge with the ex. ception of Mr. Croft and Mr. Hlg-bee Hlg-bee who spent the rest of their evening doing dishes. Nice guests to have at any party. Moving to Cedar City recently were Mr and Mrs. James Olsen and their six children Craig, 8, Kathy 7, Kristine 5, Jimmy 3. David 2 and Tommy 2 month. The Olsens are from Buhl. Minn. Mr. Olson is employed by th Utah Construction Co. They will be residing at 153 West 200 South. Mrs. Ernest Bauer Is snending some time in Salt Lake City with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Delton Bettridge. Bonnie Bauer celebrated her birthday by taking four of her friends to dinner and a show. Bernice McArthur and lt three children are spending several days in Tooele visiting with her Darents Mr. and Mrs. Fred War-burton. |
