Marsden, Cedar City businessman, busi-nessman, was named by Governor Govern-or George D. Clyde Wednesday as a member of the Utah State University, Uni-versity, formerly Utah State Agricultural Ag-ricultural College, board of trustees. trus-tees. He will succed Charles R. Hunter, who resigned from the position when he was elected state senator from Iron County In November. Hunter has held the position for the past eight years. Mr. Marsden, long a prominent member of the Republican party, Is a former state senator and a former mayor of Parowan. He operated a men's furnishing store in Parowan for many years, and has operated the Marsden's Men's shop in Cedar City since 1935. Marsden was cr.e of five new members named to the board of the Logan Institution. Another Cedar City man was named to an Important post by Governor Clyde, when Gaell Llndstrom, art Instructor at the College of Southern Utah, was named to the Institute of Fine Arts board. |
