Show Farewell Testimonial Will Honor Elder Decker Orton ELDER DECKER ORRTON A Missionary Testimonial program pro-gram will be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m. in the Parowan Third Ward chapel, honoring Elder Decker Orton, who has been called call-ed to serve as a missionary for the LDS Church in Berlin, Germany. Ger-many. Elder Orton is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Don li. Orton and an active member of the Third Ward. Speakers on the program, to be held in connection with the ward sacrament meeting, will be Lowell Low-ell Caldwell and Pres. Howard D. Knight, with remarks by Bishop Charles H. Gurr and the missionary. mission-ary. Warren A. Dalton will offer the invocation and Gordon Batt will offer the benediction. The ward choir will sing "It May Not Be on a Mountain Height" as the opening song and 'The Lord Bless You and Keep You" as the closing number. There will be a vocal trio by Gary D. Orton, Jeanne and Sherry Sher-ry Dawn Dalton, and a vocal trio by Ramona and Elna Stubbs and Shirley Evans as special numbers. The testimonial has been set one-half hour later than the usual us-ual time to give friends and relatives rela-tives of Elder Orton and Elder Brown, whose program Is at 1 p. m., an opportunity to attend both programs. |
