Brown, member of the Parowan First Ward, will be honored at a farewell testimonial testi-monial in connection with that ward's Sacrament meeting on Sunday, Dec. 31, at 1 p. m. in the First-Second Ward chapel. Elder Brown, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thales C. Brown, has been called to serve the LDS Church in the New England Mission and will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Monday morning, morn-ing, Jan. 8 and will leave the following Monday for his field of labor. Speakers at the Sunday program pro-gram will be June M. Decker Max S. Dalley, Marvin Graff with remarks by Bishop Bruce Mathe-son, Mathe-son, the parents and the missionary. mis-sionary. A brother, Jimmy Brown, will give a poem. The opening song will be by the congregation "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go," there will be vocal solos by Dean's sister, i Phyllis Brown, and by Preston' Hooper, a friend, and the closing song, "My Testimony," will be by a iauies mo consisting of na-. mona and Elna Stubbs and Shir-, ley Evans. Barbara Batt will be at the organ for prelude and! postlude music. Jimmy Robinson will offer the opening prayer and the benediction benedic-tion will be offered by William' Wright. 1 |
