Show HAPPENINGS IN PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux Holiday celebrations were in order in Paragonah (or the past week end in spite of a great deal of illness in town. There were many ill with flu and a few cases of measles and pneumonia. All outlined activities 'were quite well attended, including Satur-' day evening's Primary Program, church meetings on Sunday and the Christmas Eve party at which Santa appeared. Family gatherings gather-ings were also a feature of the holiday season. i Mr. and Mrs. Orson Ttalbot ' were happy to have their sons Jim, Ardell and Neil, here with them fof the holiday. The three arrived from Murray Saturday night to stay until Tuesday. Thomas Abbott and his wife and three children of Murray ar-1 rived Sunday to visit until Tues-1 day with Tom's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Abbott, and other fam- j ily members. I Mr. and Mrs. Dean Robinson' and small daughter of Taft, Cal-I Cal-I ifornia, arrived Friday for a ten-day ten-day stay with the H. Revere Robinsons Ro-binsons here and the Bob Miller family in Parowan. i J. B. Jones suffered a severe fracture of two bones in his hand last week. i Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Robinson recently received word of the birth of a new grandchild. A baby girl was born on Dec. 11 to Mr. and Mrs. Verdell Robinson of Magna. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson was the scene of a family holiday party Saturday Satur-day evening. This is an annual affair where all the children meet and exchange gifts with their cousins. The Ralph Edwards Ed-wards family came from Cedar City to Join the local members. Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson Rob-inson had all of their family with them on Christmas day, except ex-cept the Gordon Manzione family. fam-ily. The Cluff Jolleys came from Cedar City, the Dee Whites from , Summit, the Clair Robinsons from Parowan, and Dean and family were here from California. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Jones and I their children of McGill, Nevada, ' visited with the Blaine Jones family. Mr. and Mrs. Legrande Leigh of Ogden came to spend Christmas Christ-mas with Carolyn's people, the Blaine Jones family. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Robb of Cedar Ce-dar City are spending a few days here with Bert's mother, Mrs. Clara Robb. Bert is making a satisfactory sat-isfactory recovery from serious burns suffered some time ago. The Jesse Robb and Harold Robb families joined them here Monday Mon-day for a holiday celebration. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Engle-stead Engle-stead of St. George spent the j week end here with their daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Gwen Jones. . j Mr. and Mrs. Russell Stickle i and daughter Cristine of Bell ' Flower, Calif., were holiday visitors vis-itors here Sunday and Monday. They were accompanied here by members of the Keith Bess family fam-ily of Cedar City and Mrs. Geneva Gen-eva Jones. Miss Sherrie Deil went to Stockton to spend the holiday season with her folks, the Bill Deil family. Mrs. Olive Edwards was happy to have members of her family with her for the holdiay. John and Venice Foster were here from Salt Lake City, the Reed l Edwards family came from Boa-, Boa-, ver, and the Ralph Edwards family from Cedar City. Miss Vosta Rae Barton was here from Salt Lake City to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Barton. The Bill Barton family of Parowan and the Douglas Mickelsons of Cedar arrived with them. Mr .and Mrs. Jack Stevens and their three daughters of El Ca-Jon, Ca-Jon, Calif., are here for a week or so with the Ivan Robbs. Mr. and Mrs. John Leffler of Woodland Hills, Calif., are here to spend the holiday week in Paragonah. Charles Murie and Milton Robinson Ro-binson were here from Salt Lake City to spend the week end visiting vis-iting with the family of their uncle, Ivan Robb. The Steve 1ims family of Anaheim, Calif., arrived in this v'cinity Monday for a holiday visit with their folks, the Ren-ford Ren-ford Talbots here and the Ray Adams family of Parowan. Mrs. Anna Gunug of Lansing, Michigan, arrived here Wednesday Wednes-day of last week to spend the holiday season with her people, the Thomas A. Robinson family. The Robinson home was the scene of a family gathering on Christmas day, when the Bill Evans and Ronald Mortensens came from Parowan and Mrs. Gaytha Benson from Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Kipp of South San Gabriel, Calif., and Mr .and Mrs. J. D. Young of Los Angeles were here to spend Christmas with tlv James Stones family. Kenny Topham arrived he:e from s? It Lake City to spend Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham. Holiday visitors at the Wilson Lund home included Mr. and Mrs. John Maxwell of Toquer-ville Toquer-ville and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Earton and daughter Phyllis of Milford, and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Maxwell of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones enjoyed having their family members with them for Christmas Christ-mas day. The Mark Stones, Car-lyle Car-lyle Mitchell and B'ld Green families came from Cedar City for the day. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bradshaw and family of Beaver visited here Monday with the J. Leonard Top-hams. Top-hams. Mrs. Idella Robinson came home from Salt Lake City last week after spending some time there and in Tooele to help with her ailing " grandson, Rodney Manzione. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham went to St. George last week to spend the holiday with her son Ivan and family. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Topham Top-ham had their entire family with them on Christmas, except one grandson, Ronald Topham. Present Pre-sent were Lyman Dodge, McLean Simklns and Waldo Topham and families of Cedar City; the Fred Topham family of Parowan, and Ken".ey Topham of Salt Lake City, with other members of the Kenneth G. Topham family. Walter Talbot left for the northern part of the state Friday for a holiday visit with his son Roy of Kaysville. |
