Show Fund Appropriation Requested ior Wood's Ranch Project Wood's Ranch Development committee assigned by the Iron County Commission met with the commissioners at a recent meeting meet-ing and made a request for appropriations ap-propriations for the 1962 year. Douglas Lunt, chairman of the committee, announced that the request amounted to $11,580 for continued development of the recreation area during the 1962 year. A breakdown of the request for specific projects, was as follows: fol-lows: 30 ft. by 80 ft. public shelter $1,500 2-8 unit flush toilets .... $5,200 Drainage work In the lower end of project $ 600 Flush first area of stoves and tables $ 150 Finish second chemical toilet $ 130 Material for baseball backstops $1,000 TOTAL $11,580 Committee also made the re-J commendation to the Commis-sioneers Commis-sioneers that they consider em-1 ploying someone during the summer months as caretaker of the project as a protection against vandalism and to handle necessary sanitation problems which are begining to arise with more use of the area. Under the development project pro-ject the commission has assumed the responsibility of providing I necessary materials and civic and church organizations have furnished the necessary manpower man-power to construct and erect the various phases of the project. Commission gave a vote of confidence to the committee com mending them for their past time and effort in the public Interest and offering continued support on the Wood's Ranch development develop-ment program. |
