Show I PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES Br Nora Lund William Talbot and Mrs. Edna Christies of Virgin, Utah, were united In marriage Saturday at 2 p. m. at a simple home wedding wed-ding in which Bishop Victor Robinson Rob-inson performed the ceremony. Mr. Talbot Is a respected citizen of this community and is at present pres-ent employed with the Union Pa-cific Pa-cific Railroad. We wish to welcome wel-come the new Mrs. Talbot and her family to our town. Mrs. Idella Robinson, Mrs. Le-ona Le-ona Stones and Mrs. Donna Jol-ley Jol-ley of Cedar City, left Saturday for Ogden to attend the double funeral services on Monday for Pamela, 10, and Vicky, 8, daughters daugh-ters of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Rackah, relatives of Mrs. Robinson. Robin-son. The girls, along with an- other of the same age, were traveling tra-veling with friends in a car that was hit by a group of teenagers in a car without lights, which resulted re-sulted in four deaths. The fatal accident occurred near Torrance, Calif. The Rackam children's parents were traveling directly' behind the death car and were witnesses to the tragedy. Mr. Rackam is a brother of Mrs. Milo Stones, formerly of Paragonah and Cedar City. The people in Paragonh over 65 are invited to join those of Parowan, Summit and Enoch at Parowan at 4 p. m. Saturday to be entertained at a banquet and program by the Stake Old Folks committee. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Robinson are the representatives from Paragonah Ward to help put the affair over. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot, Anna An-na and Judy, Mr. and Mrs. Ren-ford Ren-ford Talbot, Kent, Shirlene and Jerry; also Mr. and Mrs. Steve Adams and son, attended the Gale family reunion in Beaver Sunday, which swelled the number num-ber to 74 which attended. Most of the group remtined for the evening eve-ning Sacrament meeting to hear Elder Arnell Gale, son of Albert and Martha T. Gale, report his mission to the Northwestern States Mission. The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers of Paragonah have a fitting and interesting program for July 24. prepared to commence com-mence at 10:30 a. m. In the ward chapel, with sports to follow on the lawn. The ward building com-mitee com-mitee will sponsor a fund raising project in connection with the sports. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Williamson and daughters of Las Vegas, Nev. are spending their vacation here with his father, Edwin Williamson William-son and with the Frank Whit-neys Whit-neys in Parowan. Mrs. Gertrude Barton Is ill in Torrance. Calif., at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Mildred Kurtz. She has also spent some time with her daughter, Mrs. Josephine Joseph-ine Wise. Lynn Thornton returned home during the week after vacationing vacation-ing in the Provo area with Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lamoreaux and family. He came with his brother bro-ther Gerry of Salt Lake City, who will spend a week here with his Darents. The Earl Thornton Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Jones and daughter visited at the old Page ranch with Mrs. Jones' parents. Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Sanders. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Topham arrived Saturday from Elsinore, Calif., to spend their vacation with the Herbert Tophams. Lyle Topham, who has spent some time In California returned with them. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Topham Top-ham of Cedar City visited with the group on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Flora and family of Pangultch came to visit Flora's grandmother, Mrs. May Lister. The group drove to Beaver Bea-ver to visit Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Gale and children. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Edwards accompanied Mrs. Lee Spencer to Cedar City Thursday to spend some time with the girls' aunt, Mrs, Lula Corry. who is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson returned homo Thursday evening from a delightful vacation trip to the Northwest. Both sight seeing see-ing visiting relatives were on the pleasure list. They were thrilled with the beauties of Gla-cler Gla-cler National Park in Montana. Watrrton Lakes In Alberta. Can., also Yellowstone and the Jackson Hole area. They visited In Missoula, Mont, with' Mr. and Mrs. James (Nina) Hamilton and family, who accompanied them on to Glacier. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux of Provo who traveled travel-ed with them, remained In Missoula Miss-oula for a longer visit with their daughter and family. Miss Sherry Dawn Evans has replaced Carolyn Jones Leigh as the secretary of the ward Sunday school organization. Mr. and Mrs. K. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lamoreaux of El Centro, Calif., were happy to welcome another baby boy at the Iron County Hospital on Sat-urday. Sat-urday. Mrs. Iris Jones and Tom Jones accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bess and Mr. and Mrs. Hunter of Cedar City to Panguitch on Saturday to atend the funeral of Bernard Haycock. Relatives and friends at the Jess Lister home during the week included Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Burkett and four children. Mrs. Marie Owens and two children, and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Rostum. all of Lark. Utah; Mrs. Arnold Eckler of Las Vegas, Nev; Mr. and Mrs. Garell Rosea uist of Henderson, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Gates also called on their way to Yellowstone Park. Mrs. Lister's father. A. T.
