Show Junior Legion Nine Conceded Division Title Cedar City Junior Legion Baseball Base-ball team, under the management manage-ment of Bud Fullmer, have been conceded the division title this year. In a previously announced league schedule Beaver, Cedar City and Mllford were to compete for the title. However, Beaver and Mllford have conceded the title and the Cedar City team is now faced with the problems of arranging ar-ranging games. Next step in the quest to enter the state tournament again this nament. T'il will pit Cedar City Post No. 74 against the winner of the league In the Sevier County Coun-ty area. Latest word is that the playoff will be a two out of three series ser-ies and is slated for Aug. 8. 9 and 10. Opening game will be played either In Cedar City or Sevier County with the second game to move to the opposite! home field. I This would mean that regard-1 ' less of how long the series went at least one of the games will be played In Cedar City. Last season the Cedar City Junior Legion team won the re-gional re-gional title in a playoff with Monroe and advanced to the state finals before being defeated defeat-ed by Smithfield for the title. |
