Prior to that game the two were tied for the fourth spot in the final 'league standings and the win for Milne pushed them into undisputed possession of fourth place and dropped Rotary to fifth. Danny Dan-ny Lindsay, shortstop for the Lion Tamers, won the coveted top batters spot with an impressive impres-sive .528 batting average for the season. Close on his heels was Donnie Roberts of Kiwanis with a .522 season's average. Lindsay, in addition to leading the hitting, was tops in three other departments for the year. He was credited with the most runs batted in, 30 for the season, sea-son, and he pounded out more doubles and more triples than any other player during the year. Steve Cahoon, also of the Lions, was on top In the two remaining remain-ing departments In the hitting for the season. He topped the home runs with a total of 10 for the year and he scored the most runs for the season, a total of 34. Cahoon also finished second in runs batted in, and was second sec-ond as a pitcher in number of strikeouts for the year. Strikeout king for the season was Kent Smith of the Kiwanis. with a total of 83 to his credit. Cahoon finished with 74 strikeouts. strike-outs.
