Show Seminary Instructor Transferred To Salt Lake School William L. Carlston, principal of the Parowan Seminary last school year, who was expected to remain In that capacity again for the coming school term, has been transferred by the L D S Church Education department to the seminary to be established by the church at the new Hyland High School in Salt Lake City, which Is opening for the first time next week. Mr. Carlston, who has been attending school at B Y U during dur-ing the summer, was here over the week end to get the family's fam-ily's personal belongings and close out his connection with the local seminary. Mr. Carlston's successor as the head of the local seminary wil1 be Franklin Fitts. a native o' Utah, who has spent the past two years teaching In Califor nia schools. This will be Mr. Fitt's first year as a seminary instructor. in-structor. He is a graduate of the Brigham Young University. He has also fulfilled a mission to Western Canada for the L D S Church and has served a tour of duty with the armed forces He and his family arrived here on Tuesday of this week and he is now preparing for the opening open-ing of the seminary along with the opening of school next Tues-dav. Tues-dav. Mr. Fitts Is married and has a family of thre children. Thev will reside In the apartment a the local seminary building. |
