Show Round Table Club Winds Up Summer Meets I A final series of events will bring to a close the summer activities ac-tivities and meetings of the Round Table Club. Friday. Aug. 17 the meeting was held at the home of Afton Parry where Bonnie Hansen read Maxwell Anderson's play "The Bad Seed." This play is causing quite a sensation as it deals with the problem of inheriting criminal crimin-al traits. Mrs. Hanson's reading was very good and all were amazed by the surprise ending of the p!ay. Mrs. Gwyn Clark, recently re turned from teaching In Japan, showed slides and entertained the club at the home of Ina Gardner Aug. 24. She Invited everyone to see the interesting Japanese art and china that she brought back with her. I An election was held with Kathryn Applegate named pres. dent for next year. Plans were made for the clos-ing clos-ing social in the form of a Japanese Jap-anese lawn party to be held In the garden of Lellla Whatcott on Thursday, Aug. 30. Husbands are Invited and the entertainment Is to be In keeping with the theme. |
