Show County Schools Open Doors Tuesday School bells will ring for near-ly near-ly 2600' youngsters of Iron Coun- ... tvimIw mnrntnr when all schools of the county except the College of Southern Utah open their doors for the 1956-51 school year. A total of 2550 pupils enrolled In the public schools of Iron County last year, ranging from beginners to high school seniors snH it u pxoected that the num ber will be slightly larger this year, aproaching the 2600 mark or the highest in the history of the county. Seven elementary schools will attract the greatest number of the students, with the major portion por-tion of these in Cedar City where the three elementary schools East. West and North, will be filled to capacity. Attending these three schools will be al' Cedar City children of elementary elemen-tary age, plus those transported from surrounding reas, Summit Enoch, Mldvlley, Newcastle and the Cedar Valley farm area. Next highest in elementary enrollment, enroll-ment, of course, will be Paro-wan. Paro-wan. with smaller numbers at tending schools at Beryl, Para-gonah Para-gonah and Kanarraville. Also starting the 1956-57 school year will be the Cedar City Junior Jun-ior High School and the High Schools at Cedar and Parowan. All schools hve been completely complete-ly staffed, although some difficulty diffi-culty was experienced In filling the staffs on the secondary level. The administrators of all county coun-ty schools snent three days. Thursday.
