Show I City Council Studies Recreation Expenses at Meeting At the regular mid-monthly meeting of the Parowan City Council Monday evening, the council was given a very comprehensive compre-hensive report on the city recreation rec-reation program for the season, with a detailed list of expenditures expendi-tures and income presented. The report showed that Parowan City had provided a total of $1,186.81 in cash, labor, materials and supplies to go toward matching the money which is given to the program by Iron County and the school district. This does not include electric energy furnished by the city for lights at the the ball park, tennis ten-nis court and Five Mile, nor does It include improvements made at the city race track by the Red Hill Wranglers. A decision was made to extend the lighting system at the school athlelic field to light the football foot-ball field so that night games may be played, providing the school will pay for electric energy. ener-gy. This is necessary because the summer recreation program has now been closed. It was also decided to let the Red Hill Wranglers go ahead with the addition ad-dition of a new section to the 'grand stand at the race track jThis will be done following the county fair this week end with the materials to be purchased out of recreation funds and the j members of the Wrangler organization organi-zation to do the construction I work.
