Doana Davenport The last In a series of twelve lessons of "Project Temple" was given Saturday evening by the Instructor, Karl Mitchell of Parowan Paro-wan at-th home of Mr. tid Mrs. Herbert White. Mrs. Carol Davis of Richfield and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Storey and sons Mark and Jeff of Ogden spent the week end with their father, Otto Dalley, and also visited vi-sited with their mother In the Valley View Medical Center, where she Is confined with a broken hip. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker and children Jerrle and Keven arrived here Saturday. Connie and the children will spend a week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport Fred returned to his teaching duties In Tooele. Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Hulda Peterson returned home Sunday after spending the winter months In St. George where she has been doing Temple Tem-ple work. The Relief Society Annual Celebration Cel-ebration was held here Tuesday morning March 16th with Mrs. Lilly Wr.rd, Mrs. Goida Guymon, Mrs. Phoebe Taylor and Mrs. Mary Stubby of the Parowan Stake Board in attendance. A short program honoring the visiting vi-siting teachers was held. They each received a lovely work basket bas-ket filled with sewing notions and teaching aids. Mrs. Lucy Green was presentd with the Relief Society pin for her service in the organization. Mrs. Ella Lawrence and Mrs. Cora Dalley were given beautiful necklaces for having been members the most years, and President Mary Dalley was presented a decorative decora-tive plate for her dedicated ser-, ser-, vice. The Presidency, Mary and Minnie Min-nie Dalley, Violet Hulet and secretary sec-retary Alice Walker, served a delicious de-licious luncheon at noon to conclude con-clude the celebration. Miss Jeanne White was in Pro-vo Pro-vo last week to attend the Class B Basketball tournament. Mrs. Jay Tucker left last Thurs-day Thurs-day by plane for Tooele to make a new home where her husband has recently been employed. She spent several weeks here with her folks, the Arden Richards and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith. Her sister, Myra Richards, accompanied her to Tooele to spend a few days before be-fore flying home. Arden Richards made a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake City over the week end. Mrs. Thelma Melling of Cedar City, her daughter, Mrs. Douglas Grlmshaw, of Bountiful and her three children visited here Friday Fri-day with Mrs. James Prince and Mrs. Molly Grimshaw. Week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Dalley was their son Lester and family of Las Vegas, Nev. The Dalleys also enjoyed a visit Sunday from Mrs. Dalleys brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oren Adams of Cedar City. Mrs. Ted Fife was released from the Valley View Medical Center last week after recovering from pneumonia. The Fifes enjoyed a recent visit vi-sit from their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Rider and girls Heidi and Vel-vette Vel-vette Ann of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Hum-pherys Hum-pherys are proud first-time grandparents of a little girl born to their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Woodard of Cedar City. Mrs. A. T. Lawrence, who resides re-sides at the Rest Home In Parowan, Paro-wan, visited here Sunday. Miss Bonnie Dalley was here from Logan last week to visit with her family, the Ivan Dal-ley's. Dal-ley's. She returned to her studies at the Utah State University on Sunday. Mrs. Ivan Dalley, daughter Bonnie and son David, visited in Cedar City Friday with another daughter, Kathleen, and helped her celebrate her birthday. |
