Show Horsemen's Club Of Southern Utah Takes Trail Riders' Name The Southern Utah Trail Rid-. Rid-. ers Association was the name selected at the first meeting of the recently organized horsemen's dub of southern Utah. The officers selected for the year 1965 were. Mrs. Fonda Beck-stead. Beck-stead. Kanarraville, president; Abe Larsen, Beryl, vice president presi-dent and Mrs. Verlyn Williams, Kanarraville, secretary and trea-j trea-j surer. Named to the board of I directors were Elsworth Flanl-I Flanl-I gan, Cedar City, trail supervisor; Bill Beatty and Jess Prisby, both of Cedar City; Verle beckstead and Donald Williams of Kanarraville.. Kanar-raville.. The subjects covered at this first meeting were eligibility for membership, passing of rules and bylaws for the organization and plans for the first trail ride of the season. The first ride will be April 24 at Harrisburg. Because of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisby's knowledge of this area they will act as temporary trail chairmen, working with Mr. Flanlgan, trail supervisor for this ride. The organization expressed thanks to Abe Larsen for his interest in-terest in helping to organize this club. Mr. Larsen diove from Beryl to attend this meeting. The purpose of this club will I be to provide its members with j a fine and more understanding (sens.) of horsemanship through ' association with the other members mem-bers and to enjoy fully the sport of riding.
