Show Offense Frequencies Report Issued by Police Chief Lambert In a report released this week from the Cedar City police department, de-partment, Tony Lambert, chief of police, cites "runaway juveniles" as the top offense of juvenile cases during the year 1955. The report did not Indicate the total number of offenses, but rather ra-ther the offenses of more frequent violation. The runaway juveniles topped the list of locaj number of offenses, he said. The report was also broken into in-to two brackets with traffic violations vio-lations listed separately The greatest number of offenses in this department was "driving without a license." In the general category the list, according to number of offenses, of-fenses, was as follows: Second, petit larceny; third. Malicious Ma-licious mischief; fourth, disregard disre-gard of city curfew; fifth, Investigations Inves-tigations in connection with crimes; sixth, burglary; seventh, car theft. In addition other violations vio-lations were as follows: Carrying loaded weapons, shoplifting, morals, mor-als, AWGL, escapeu Iruin reformatory refor-matory and drunkenness. In the division of traffic violation vio-lation the most numerous offenses offen-ses following no license violations viola-tions were as follows: second, speeding; third, racing side by side; fourth, running stop signs; fifth, improper mufflers; sixth, running red light; seventh, improper im-proper turns. Other offenses included in-cluded improper lookout, improper improp-er parking; failure to signal, improper im-proper registration, leaving scene of accident, improper passing, reckless driving and following too close. |
