Show Funeral Rites Held ! For Jennie Benson Williamson By Nora Lund Impressive funeral services were conducted for one of our highly respected citizens, Mrs. Jennie Benson Williamson, 66, in the Paragonah Ward chapel, with Bishop Victor R. Robinson conducting. Mrs. Wllma Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux was at the organ and D. Amasa Stones directed the choir in the opening and closing songs. Speakers were Thomas Albert Robinson, W. Clair Rowley of Par-owan, Par-owan, and Bishop Robinson, with the life history of the deceased being read by Mrs. EtheJ Robb. Special musical numbers for the occasion were as follows: a vocal solo by Pres. Howard Knight of Parowan, with Mrs. Richard Jones j accompanying; an accordion solo so-lo by Heber Lund, and a mixed quartet by Wm. T. Davenport, Amasa Stones. Sarah Robinson and Wilma Lamoreaux, with Melva Barton accompanying. Prayers wvre by J. Lowe Barton and Orson Talbot, with Amasa Stones dedicating the grave in the Parowan City cemetery where Interment took place. Mrs. Jennie Vive Benson Williamson, Wil-liamson, daughter of James and Melissa Hyatt Benson, was born Oct. 22, 1889 in Parowan. She received her education there. She married Edwin W. Williamson Oct. 21. 1909 in the St. George TempJe and came to Paragonah to make her home. She had been a devoted church worker, being counselor in the ward primary as well as a teacher in that organization. organi-zation. She has. been a visiting Relief Society teacher for 38 years and was still active in this rapacity ra-pacity up until she met -with th accident, near Cedar City Jan. 7, which caused her death. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Glen Williamson William-son of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Dora Whitney, Parowan, and seven grandchildren.
