Show VFW Auxiliary Group Holds May Meeting, Fills Organizational Officers for Coming Year The V. F. W. Auxiliary met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Grace Leigh. Mrs. Melling reported that she had received a letter from Salt Lake, stating that the local first place winner In the essay contest con-test Joann Hargrave had won third place In the state. They j sent a silver medal for her, and It will be presented to her on awards day at the high school. Gifts wer presented In appreciation appre-ciation for work in the auxiliary the post years. Margery Lampman received receiv-ed a pair of hand embordered and netting lace pllowslips, for many years as secretary. Mrs. Arrowsmith gave each of her officers of-ficers a lovely hankerchlef that she had crocheted herself. A social followed the meeting card games were played and a delicious refreshments were served ser-ved by hostess Grace Leigh. |
