Show NEWS FROM SUMMIT I Mrs. Donna Davenport Our ward members enjoyed a most interesting program in Sacrament meeting Sunday with Homer Christensen of the Cedar Ce-dar LDS Seminary, Miss Bonnie Clark and Miss Mary Ann Palmer Palm-er as the speakers. Miss Palmer also played a piano selection. Col. J. Frank Dalley is home after a two weeks' stay in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on business busi-ness pertaining to the National Guard. Mrs. LaRue White entertained a group of ladies at a quilting in her home. She served a delicious delic-ious lunch to Mrs. Minnie Dalley, Dal-ley, Mrs. Ruth Dalley, Mrs. Shirley Shir-ley White, Mrs. Lydia Morton, Mrs. Helen Mathoson and from Paragonah came Shirley's mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Klella Robinson and a sister, Mrs. Janine Manzioru. Mrs. Minnie Dalley and daughter Mary Beth accompanied accompan-ied her sistsers, Mrs. Leone lias-mussen lias-mussen of Parowan and Mrs. Maude Strate of Cedar City, to Newcastle to spend a day last week with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hulet. Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Harrison returned to their home in Oakland, Oak-land, California, last week after spending their vacation here with Mrs. Harrison's father, John Dalley, and other family members. Albert Dalley and family of Salt Lake City were here a few days while Mr. Dalley's sister, Mrs. D.irrel Harrison was here. Mr. arid Mrs. Conley Adams and family of Salt Lake City left Monday morning for their home after a few days' visit here with Mrs. Adams' folks, the Jack Farrows. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Maxwell spent Sunday afternoon after-noon here completing the Farrow Far-row family group. Mrs. Darlene Ledkins of Mid-vale, Mid-vale, Utah, visited here Sunday with friends. Spending the week cr.d with Mrs. Norma Stapley and family was her mother, Mrs. Klden Neilsen .f Murray, and a sister, Mrs. Irene Swensen of Salt Lake City. The H. J. Humpherys enjoyed a visit from their daughter, Miss Patricia Humpherys, over the week end. She arrived here from Salt Lake City early Saturday morning. Mrs. Billye Humpheries and Mrs. Mary Dalley entertained for their sons Kent and Keith Humpherys and Dennis Dalley Friday evening. The occasion was their birthdays. All the teenagers in town were at the Humpherys for hamburgers and all the trimmings, then they went to the Dalley home for cake and ice cream and spent the evening dancing. The fireside was held -at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Dalley Sunday evening. Root beer floats were enjoyed by the young people attending. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Richards and daughter Myra and Mrs. Richard's mother, Mrs. Leon a Smith, spent the week end in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives. rel-atives. The Richards brought their daughtr, Kay, home after a week's stay in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Al Matheson left last week for northern California where Mr. Matheson will be cm-ployd. cm-ployd. Wesley Smith, six-yeur-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith of Parowan, spent a few days here with his grandfather, Harold Smith. |
