Show Home Survival Pac Distributed in Iron County A new compact Survival Pak, providing enough food energy lor an adult for a two week period, has been developed and approved by Civil Defense, for aise in the event fall-out forces people to remain indoors for Jong periods of time, according to Dixie Leavitt and John Warmer, War-mer, who will distribute the pak in Utah areas. The two Cedar City men will distribute the Survival Pak under un-der the name of Survlco. The concentrated food is packed pack-ed in a round, metal, air and water tight, two-gallon can, that is easily stored, easily moved, is moisture, Insect, rodent, dust and child proof. No replacement of the concentrate is necessary It can be stored infefinitely except for a small supply of vl. tamtns which must be replaced each two years. The Survival Pak Is the result re-sult of long months of research In an effort to find a feasible way of storing food for a family that may be confined to fallout fall-out shelters for long periods of time, the gentlemen state, and this seems to be the answer to the perplexing food storage problem pro-blem for such emergencies. The product will be on the market in increasing supply in the near future, and will be distributed dis-tributed to home owners as rapidly ra-pidly as possible, the local re presentatives announced. |
