Nielsen became be-came the bride of Jerald L. Mun-ford Mun-ford on Saturday, Aug. 5 in a double ring marriage ceremony which took place at the home of the parents of the bride, with Bishop Charles Heber Gurr officiating. offi-ciating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and ( Mrs. Osmer K. Nielsen of Parowan, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. IJudd Munford. also of Parowan. Following their marriage the young couple honeymooned at Grand Canyon National Park, after af-ter which they returned to Parowan Paro-wan where they will make their home. A reception was held in their honor on Saturday evening, Aug. 12, in the Parowan Third Ward .ecreation hall. For the occasion the bride wore a floor length gown of white chantilly lace ocr net. The fitted bodice featured a scalloped neckline. The dress had long tapered lace sleeves. Mrs. Sherry Dawn Nielsen was matron of honor, with Adell Green, Phebe Bergstrom, Gerald-ine Gerald-ine Stubbs, Winon Holyoak and Judy Munford as bridesmaids. Joyce Marie Munford was flower girl. The attendants were dressed dress-ed in pastel party dresses. Kent Munford was best man fr his brother with Lyman Munford and Keldon Matheson acting as ushers. Janet Hunt was in charge of the guest register and classmates of the newlyweds acted as gift bearers and served refreshments. Max Dalley was master of ceremonies cer-emonies for a program given during the evening. Warren Munford, Mun-ford, uncle of the bridegroom, offered of-fered the invocation and Howard Nielsen, uncle of the bride, gave the benediction. A toast to the bride was given by Ruth Board-man Board-man and a toast to the bridegroom bride-groom was given by his brother, Lyman Munf.rd. Warren and Allen Al-len Nielsen, brothers of the bride, gave two vocal duets, Carol Lou Munford sang a solo, Kristine Halterman and Pamela Mitchell sang a duet and Gail and Beth Edwards played a piano duct. A reading was given by Mrs. Jean Hendrickson. |
