Show John Lowe Posterity Gather For Family Reunion The descendants of John Lowe, early resident of this community, held a very successful family reunion re-union on Sunday and Monday of this week, July 24 and 25 with as many as 170 members of the family at some of the functions during the two days, it is reported. re-ported. The family gathered at the Parowan Par-owan school house Sunday morning morn-ing for a meeting, social and a luncheon at which last year's officers were selected to hold over for another year. The afternoon af-ternoon was spent at the ?ive Mile and on Monday they gathered gath-ered at that place again for a luncheon, and then made a tour of the Parowan Mountains with the trip climaxed with a dinner at the old Lowe ranch in Dry Lakes'. Officers of the group for the coming year will be Ila Lowe Bauer, Cedar City, president, Ada Evans and Lillian Heap, Parowan vice presidents; Maurine Parry, Cedar City, sec.-treas.; Deslie Lowe Anderson, St. George, genealogist, gen-ealogist, and Max Lowe, Belgrade, Bel-grade, Mont.,. assistant genealogist. genealo-gist. The next reunion of the family will be held in Salt Lake City next year at the same time one of the conferences of the L D S Church Is being held. It Is reported that members' came from as far away as 1700 miles to attend the gathering, and those present included five sets of twins. |
