Show Bamburger Nurse Scholarships To Be Awarded Soon Thirty-five scholarships to young women who desire to become be-come graduate nurses but cannot can-not finance their own training, will be awarded by the Bamberger Bamber-ger Memorial Foundation within the next six weeks, William H. Olwell, foundation secretary and treasurer announced Friday. The scholarships are in memory mem-ory of Ruth Eleanor Bamberger and John Ernest Bamberger, daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bamberger. With the need stilj great for more nurses, Mr. Olwell said that young women are invited to apply ap-ply to hospitals, which have a nurse training program or to Brigham Young University, Fro-vo; Fro-vo; Weber Junior College, Ogden; Westminster College or St. Mary of the Wasatch, Salt Lake City. Since 1947, the foundation has each year awarded the scholarships scholar-ships on the basis of need and the applicant's ability and quail-I quail-I fications. |
