Show Club Notes By Mrs. Ralph Box Ladies of the Thursday club were entertained at the home of Mrs. R. C. Morris for luncheon followed with bridge, with Mrs. Sam Heyborne as special guest. Score prizes were won by Mrs. Merrill Kunz, Mrs. Durrad Leigh, and a traveling prize by Mrs. Grant Biederman. Mrs. Carl Hazel was hostess Thursday afternoon for the members mem-bers of her club at a luncheon followed with canasta. Mrs. C. R. Winkle of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lester Gower, Mrs. Harry Rhodes and Mrs. Dee Rosenberg were special guests. Birthday honors were presented to Mrs. Robert Muir. Mrs. June Balzly was presented pre-sented with a farewell gift from the club members. Mrs. Hazel presented each of the honored guests with a corsage. Assisting Mrs. Knell in arranging ar-ranging the annual party were Mrs. L. N. Marsden, Mrs. Walter Merryweather and Mrs. Bert Smith. Following dinner the evening eve-ning was spent at games. Beta Sigma Phi sorority members mem-bers met at the home of Mrs. George Croft Thursday evening for their regular meeting and social. Mrs. Carl Croft was hostess, host-ess, assisted by Mrs. Norman Adams and Miss Beth Talbot. The members enjoyed an exhibit exhi-bit of the home weaving and arts hobby of Mrs. George Croft. A spring luncheon was served to the sorority sisters during the social hour. Mrs. Zealand Murdock was hostess Tuesday evening at her home to the ladies of her bridge club, with Mrs. Paul Stewart, Mrs. Criss Mason, Jr., Mrs. Smith Stapley, Mrs. Carl Hazel, Mrs. Arnold Arrowsmith, Miss Ethel Smith, Mrs. Hugh Cheever and Mrs. R. Mrs. Lawrence Lowder entertained enter-tained Wednesday evening at her home for the members of her bridge club. Places were set for Mrs. Joe Fakler, Mrs. Vernon Cummings, Mrs. Sam Heyborne, Mrs. Antone Cox, Mrs. DeVon Green, Mrs. Fallas Olofson, Mrs. Chauncey Macfarlane, Mrs. Clyde Higbee, Mrs. Hugh Cheever, Mrs. Francis Frye, Mrs. Adrian Bunting, Bunt-ing, and Mrs. Arthur Burnham. A tasty luncheon lunch-eon was served to Mr. and Mrs. Newel Wasden, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Chatterley, Mr. and Mrs. L. Chamberlain and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Palmer. The evening was enjoyed in playing pinochle. Mrs. Thomas Thorsen entertained enter-tained the ladies of her club Monday evening, with Mrs. Ku- men Gardner and Mrs. Henry Davis as special guests. Bridge score winners were Mrs. John Rowberry, Mrs. R. H. Leigh and Mrs. Conway Parry. |
