Show Initiation Banquet For Elks Lodge Postponed to April 19 The annual initiation banquet of the Cedar City Elks lodge, originally scheduled to be held J on Saturday, April 12, has been postponed because of a conflict with the Rex Layne boxing card i to be staged by the Branch Agri cultural college physical education educa-tion department on that night. Steve Asmus, chairman of the committee in charge of the initiation init-iation banquet, states that the Elks are not only interested in the bouts, but also in seeing the school make a success of this (Continued on Back Page) ELKS BANQUET (Continued from Page One) venture in sports promotion. The initiation banquet will be held on Saturday, April 19, one week later than the original date. All new and retiring officers of-ficers of the lodge, as well as all past exalted rulers of the lodge will be honored at the banquet, Mr. Asmus states. Rex Harris will act as master of ceremonies and an excellent program has been arranged. All Elks partners will be special guests at the affair, and the newly elected officers of the Ladies of Elks will be introduced. in-troduced. Following the banquet the Elks and their partners will go to the Elks hall to spend the balance of the evening in dancing. |
