Show Young Agriculture Student Wins Scholarship Oi $100.00 Given by Union Pacific Railroad Elwin Isom, prominent agricultural agricul-tural student at the Cedar City high school, has been awarded the Carl R. Gray scholarship given giv-en annually by the Union Pacific Paci-fic Railroad company, in the field of vocational agriculture in Iron county. The scholarship includes $100 for registration at the Utah State Agricultural college at Logan Lo-gan or the Branch Agricultural college at Cedar City, for the recipient re-cipient to continue his studies in the field of agriculture. In addition ad-dition transportation is provided to and from the school the recipient re-cipient attends, which of course, Tt I "'; .,-'' . . 1 - ELWIN ISOM is unnecessary in the event the Cedar City student continues his studies at B A C. Young Isom has been an active ac-tive member of the Future Farmers of America chapter at i the Cedar City high school, hav-ling hav-ling won a State Future Farmer Key this year, and participated in chapter and state organization activities. He also has completed important FFA projects during his three years at Cedar City high school. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Waldon Isom of Cedar City. |
